Here come the grand masters of the nuclear devastation and extermination called IMPALED NAZARENE. This finnish guys are well-known by the black/death/thrash fans all over the world. Extreme aggressive music, shocking image, explicit unholy, brutal and sacrilegious lyrics... Many shit were spoken about that band by pagan ignorent kids. I am sure the reason for that was jealosy and very low level of the music of these "true" bands. But IMPALED NAZARENE blew these bastards off by their aggression and brutality... album "Rapture" proves it one more time. All of the questions were answered by the frontman of I.N., namely Mika Luttinen, who also well-known by such projects as DIABOLOS RISING and RAISM. So let him speak and tell some interesting news about the band, which is protected by Satan since 1990...
I had read a very positive view of Cronos about your music. And what is your view about VENOM? Do you like their new release "Cast In Stone"?
- Venom rule of course and I think Cast In Stone is brilliant. (I completely agree with you - ed.) I have met Cronos a couple of times and his great guy.
Reima Kellokoski, Jani Lehtosaari... Once they played in BELIAL. Is this band still exists? And if it exists, what music they play now? (Their last album I heard was "3" and I was completely disappointed with it)
- Belial has been dead years.
Is it possible for you to unite with Kimmo again or he completely lost for IMPALED NAZARENE?
- Why the fuck should he??? We are much better band without him. Reima blows him away.
You also took place in DIABOLOS RISING and RAISM with Magus from NECROMANTIA and as backing vocals on his THOU ART LORD's album "Eosforos". Will you make some projects with him in the future?
- No, I have finished all these projects. Magus is a cool guy though.
Why you decided to call the music of "Latex Cult" - NUCLEAR METAL?
- Because we are like nuclear energy: Lethal and fucking deadly. Suits us perfectly.
The material on "Rapture" is more brutal than on "Latex Cult" (It's my opinion) and your vocals on it is grandeous. It seems to me you'd returned to the roots. What can you tell us about this?
- Some people have said that it reminds them our old stuff so that's nice. We just wanted to make fucking brutal cd and this we did. I think Rapture is mixture of old & new.
I'm crazy about your "Motörpenis" mini album and such songs as "Let's Fucking Die" it reminds me the old good 80's. What was the reason for you to make such great songs and will you make it in the future?
- We make the songs we like, what can I say?? If we can blast a good rock song then we will do it, these things just happen you know.
Your lyrics is very explicit. Bands that use such kind of lyrics have many problems with different christian censor organisations like PMRC or other assholes. Do you have some problems with these assholes?
- We have never had any problems, thankfully. I guess we are too small band for these fuckers to pay attention to.
Why you decided to play SODOM's "Burst Command 'Til War" song? How do you like the later material of SODOM?
- Nobody was doing Sodom tribute cd so we decided to cover my fave track from them. I still like Sodom but of course the old material is better.
