If you're looking for a furious yet ultra-refined death metal release this year, then listen to the new Chaos Inception album, it's worth every moment! I spoke to vocalist Gary White about their new masterpiece and plans for the near future. Enjoy our short chat below!

Hails Gary! The third album of Chaos Inception is titled "Vengeance Evangel" and was released more than a month ago by Lavadome Productions. What are the reactions from fans and media so far?
The album has had a surprisingly good response. We are very happy, to say the least.
It has been a long time since the release of the second album "The Abrogation" (2012). What caused this break?
The break was due to a multitude of issues. We obviously lost a couple of members. Matt and I both went through a lot of personal issues that plagued us for a while. A lot of it was me. I developed really bad carpal tunnel and went through some depression with that. And I had been doing music for a long time. I was very burned out, to say the least. I just needed a break.
There have been some line-up changes as well, I mean you played drums on the first two albums but now you're singing, and on the new album the drums have been taken over by Kévin Paradis. Tell us a little bit about these changes. How did this studio line-up come about and what line-up will you be playing live with?
Yeah, Chris and Cam both departed the band. So that left us with 2 people. For the longest time, we said to hell with it and just kinda left it where it was. Then we started to get the itch again. We wanted to make another album. Just to show that we still could make a good album. I had done vocals for a long time. So, I decided to get one of my favorite drummers to do the album. I loved Kévin's playing and knew he could do anything asked of him. I still play drums, however, the carpal tunnel limits me on the really fast stuff. I didn't want the drumming to be lackluster. So, I decided to step down and take over vocal duties. I'm not sure at the moment who we will use for live situations. If the right shows presents, we will find the right people for the job.
The new songs are pretty relentless and brutal. How long did it take you to write and record the 11 songs on "Vengeance Evangel"? What inspired you during the writing process? I hear a Morbid Angel/Nile/Krisiun twist in some places, but correct me if I'm wrong.
We wanted the album to be brutal. We wanted it to sound like us, though. You can obviously hear our influences. Those bands have a huge influence on us. But we also drew some influence from newer and less well-known bands like Portal. Also, we like bands like Origin. Hate Eternal is a great band. We find ourselves even influenced by things like old horror movies. We draw influence from a lot of different places. I'm personally influenced by just the trials of life.
The soundscape of "Vengeance Evangel" is simply brilliant. The album was mixed and mastered by Andrea Petucco at MSTR Sound Studio. What was it like working with him? How long did it take you to receive the final product?
We were excited by the whole process and were thankful for having the label and for Andrea working hard to make sure the album could be the best it could be. He was great to work with and did a great job. I love the atmosphere of the album. We wanted this album to be a little rawer and have more of an organic feel to it. He worked on the album for a couple of months. We were happy with the results.
The cover by Dávid Glomba is also fantastic. How does it relate to the lyrical side of the album? By the way, who wrote the lyrics for "Vengeance Evangel"? Please immerse yourself in the details of the lyrics.
Dávid did a great job on the album cover, and we are very happy with it. Matt wrote the lyrics on "Vengeance Evangel", so I am probably the wrong one to ask about that. But I thought he did a great job. The lyrics are open to a lot of interpretation. What do they mean to you when you read them?
Quinta Essentia released a new album last year, and I feel like the new Monstrosity album is just around the corner. Could you be so kind and give us some news about these bands? Anyway, when is the new Monstrosity album coming out?
QE is currently working on new material and preparing to do some more live shows. I'm currently the drummer for them, and I'm excited to be working with them. Monstrosity has finished a new album and should be out sometime this year. It's going to be killer, I can assure you. I unfortunately can't say any more about that.
Are there any death metal bands that have impressed you with their new material lately? If so, please mention it here and tell us why you liked it so much and what caught your attention about that particular material.
I really liked the last Aborted release, "Vault of Horrors". So many people sleep on that band, and I don't know why. "Terrorvision" is one of my all-time favorite albums. They are such a talented band. Material is always so brutal.
Now that your new album is out, are you planning any music videos or concerts to support it? Tell us about your plans for propaganda.
It's hard to say what the future might hold for us. All I can say is never count us out, and we appreciate everyone who supports us. Thanks to everyone who is buying merch and the new album.
Well, that's all I wanted to ask. The last vengeance of words is all yours. Please end the interview by sending your greetings to all the fans of Chaos Inception in Ukraine.
Thanks so much for the interview and your time to support. Huge shout-out to the metal fans in Ukraine! Know that we see your struggles and we support you! We keep all of you in our thoughts! Keep supporting metal and the cause! Cheers!!! And Horns up!!
